Danas vode svoju firmu Planet Kind i ličnim primerom i poslovanjem šalju poruku o važnosti očuvanja planete Zemlje i našoj odgovornosti.
RESTORANI I KAFIĆI U BEOGRADU
Mayka
Kul i moderna mesta smeštena u urbanoj sredini.
Organico
Just Organic

A Vegan’s Food Guide to Serbia
I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting much regarding vegan food in Serbia before I moved here. In the past, asking for vegan food at a restaurant would be met with a very swift: ‘no, no no, we don’t have that here’. I’m sure, in the past, the waiters and chefs all had a good chuckle behind the scenes at the ‘rabbit food eater’ with her side salad and fries.
Now, however, I can see that vegan food is steadily creeping into the Serbian culinary scene. Vegan and vegetarian options in Belgrade and Novi Sad are not only in demand, but are expanding. So here’s my current go-to guide for eating as a vegan in Serbia that doesn’t restrict you to just a side salad and fries!
BELGRADE RESTAURANTS & CAFES
Mayka
Mayka is quietly tucked in between the busy Knez Mihaila high street and Kalemegdan park. It’s an unassuming restaurant that surprises you with its wide variety of country hopping cuisines, from samosas, to vegan fish and chips, to pizza. I’ve been there many times now and I’m still working my way through the menu!
Radost Fina Kuhinjica
If you didn’t know any better, you would think this restaurant was just any other Belgrade apartment within a slightly dilapidated Austro-Hungarian style building. Even the entrance to Radost is a standard apartment door and I remember second guessing myself right up until the moment a waiter reassured me that this was the right place. To me, this is quintessential Belgrade. Cool and modern places nestled away in urban settings that are rough around the edges. My go-to dishes there are the vegan buckwheat burger with almond cheese or the tortillas.
Zdrawo Slatko
Zdrawo Slatko makes a wide variety of delicious raw vegan sweet treats and cakes that absolutely anyone would enjoy. Since I last visited, they have expanded to three new market stall locations around Belgrade which is a positive sign of their success.
BELGRADE HEALTH FOOD STORES
I can’t talk about vegan food without mentioning health food stores in Serbia. When Oli and I first moved, this was one of the first things we noticed that was different to England. On a day-to-day basis, I never feel restricted because these health food stores, offering vegan, organic and package free foods, are incredibly common.
Bio Špajz
Bio Špajz is a well known organic food chain in Serbia, with products in nearly every supermarket. With a company of this scale, you wouldn’t expect one of their branches to be placed in such an unassuming corner of Kalenić farmer’s market. My partner and I stumbled across this store by accident and were pleasantly surprised that such a small space could offer such a wide selection of vegan, organic and zero waste foods.
Organico
One of Organico’s branches opened whilst I was living in the Banovo Brdo neighbourhood and having this store nearby was fantastic. Knowing I had organic fruit and veg and organic packaged food made living in that neighbourhood so easy as a vegan.
Just Organic
The Vračar neighbourhood seems to be a hot spot for organic stores selling vegan products. However, before the organic and vegan wave hit Serbia, Just Organic was one of the first stores on the scene. As a vegan, I don’t feel limited in this store at all as they have everything from organic fruit and veg, to vegan condiments and snacks.
